BRITISH AIRWAYS ANNOUNCES NEW FLIGHTS TO FUERTEVENTURA

British Airways has launched a new short-haul route which will run from London Gatwick to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. Flights are now on sale for the new route, which commences on 13 December as part of their winter 2014 programme.

This will also mark the first time that British Airways has flown to Fuerteventura in 10 years; an island popular for its impressive long sandy beaches, water sports, golden sand dunes and cultural sites.

The twice-weekly service will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays will allow tourists to visit the second biggest Canary Island direct from London Gatwick. This route is the third Canary Island to be added to BA’s network and joins the existing twice-weekly service to Lanzarote and up-to seven times weekly service to Tenerife.

BA’s commercial director for Gatwick, Colm Lacy, said “We are pleased to be adding Fuerteventura to our network. The Canary Islands are proving popular with our customers, especially during the winter months.”

Hand baggage only fares including all taxes and charges start from £69 one-way.
