Discover the hidden gems of Spain on horseback with Equiberia

Equiberia Rainbow

Equiberia has been creating horse riding holidays around the most picturesque areas of Spain since 1996. Each ride has been tailor made to capture the lesser known and best preserved areas of Spain.

The trips offer something for every type of traveller; get up close to nature and the beautifully trained horses, try new flavours of local wines and cuisines and experience the life and traditions of a different culture in Spain’s many regions.

For 2013, Equiberia will offer four different rides in Castilla and León, three rides in the Sierra de Gredos, Avila, one ride in Segovia, as well as rides in Menorca. New rides will also be introduced in Andalucia in the Sevilla-Doñana region.

A great itinerary for summer 2013 is the ‘Sierra de Gredos Summer Ride’. This seven night package gives riders the opportunity to explore the Gredos Mountains as well as the alpine valleys and mountain gorges. Taking place in July and August, the trip is priced from £1,510 on an all-inclusive basis, excluding international flights but including domestic transportation.

For those looking for a coastal trail, the ‘Unknown Views of Menorca’ is a six night package exploring the Camí de Cavalls alongside the Balearic turquoise waters, giving riders unique access to the unspoilt Menorca coast. Taking place from March until November, the trip is priced from £1,550 on an all-inclusive basis, excluding international flights but including domestic transportation.

On January 22nd, Equiberia in partnership with Ride World Wide will be hosting a special event at the Cavalry and Guards Club (www.cavgds.co.uk) in Mayfair, which is kindly supported by Gonzalez Byass. The evening will consist of Tio Pepe sherry and Iberico ham tasting, a presentation of the Equiberia 2013 programme followed by networking and a selection of wines and tapas.
