PORTAVENTURA TO LAUNCH FERRARI LAND IN 2016

Portaventura near Barcelona has announced exciting plans to open a brand new theme park within the adventure resort called Ferrari Land.  

Portaventura Entertainment S.A.U. has teamed up with Ferrari S.p.A. to create the new theme park, which is set to open in 2016. The new attraction will house the highest and fastest vertical accelerator in Europe, as well as several other rides, restaurants, shops and car racing simulations. The new addition to Portaventura will also see a five-star luxury hotel built into Ferrari Land, with 250 rooms.

The new theme park, which will be the only one of its kind in Europe, will receive an investment of approximately €100 million. The attraction will cover a surface area of 75,000 square metres and is set to be a great tourist attraction to the area.

This year also saw the park launch its Angkor Ride, a boat ride taking visitors deep into the jungle and setting them challenges along the way!
