SPANISH TOURIST OFFICE LAUNCHES "THE MORE YOU LIVE IT, THE MORE YOU LIKE IT” CAMPAIGN

Do you fall into the 9/10 people who would return to Spain or the 1/10 who wouldn’t?

The Spanish Tourist Office has today announced the launch of a new global digital campaign entitled “The More You Live It, The More You Like It”, which aims to make Spain the first country to obtain 100% holiday satisfaction from visitors and boost return trips.

Recent survey figures have revealed that nine out of every ten visitors to Spain want to go back and the tourist board is on a mission to encourage that tenth visitor to give the country another try.

A Spanish Tourist Office 100% Visitor Satisfaction team will be hitting the streets of different cities across the globe on the hunt for different candidates who are willing to give the country a second chance, as well as recruiting a selection of candidates who fall into the 90% that already love the destination.

Candidates will be filmed saying what it is they do and don’t like about the country and it will then be up to a public vote on Spain’s social media channels to determine who the tourist board should send to Spain. In their pairs, they will then be sent on an exciting trip to Spain to see if the unconvinced can be converted.

Enrique Ruiz de Lera, director of the Spanish Tourist Office in London, commented “In 2013, 60 million foreign visitors travelled to Spain with nine out of ten saying they would like to return and it is this incredible loyalty that we want to harness. Our new campaign is an evolution of the highly successful Spain Addicts campaign, which allowed fans of the destination to become digital ambassadors, and we plan to continue working with even more loyal “addicts” in order to spread the word internationally about everything that Spain has to offer and convince the unconvinced”.
