The Sierra Nevada ski resort has started the season on a high by opening its doors on Saturday 23rd November, a week earlier than planned.
Visitors to the resort for the 2013/14 season will be able to enjoy a number of new developments and improvements, including a new family area, modernised ski lifts, better quality artificial snow, sports events and a new freestyle park - all at last year's rates.
The new family area in Borreguiles has a marine theme and is now known as the 'Sea Slope'. There are a number of new 'magic' ski carpets including one that allows youngsters to access the 200-metre-long “El Bosque” slope. On the descent, forest animals and mountains guide the way to igloo camps where children can play in the snow.
