CAN FAUSTINO OPENS IN CIUTADELLA, MENORCA

Can Faustino Deluxe Room with Terrace.jpg

The French hotel group, Mare Terra, has opened the doors of a brand new five-star boutique property on the Balearic island of Menorca. Located in the pretty town of Ciutadella on the west of the island, it is the first urban five-star hotel to open in the town and will be one of few hotels to stay open for 10 months of the year, responding to the demand for more off-peak accommodation.

Housed in a grand stately home also known as Can Faustino, the property cost over a million euros to restore and boasts 22 rooms, including a suite located in a turret.

The hotel’s restaurant, Mon, is headed up by Michelin star Menorcan chef, Felip Llufriu, and offers seasonal gourmet cuisine with a creative Mediterranean twist. The menu is accompanied by an exclusive wine list and features biodynamic wines.

Guests also have access to a piano bar and an outdoor cocktail bar, as well as a beach club, spa, swimming pool and hammam.

Rooms are designed in light and airy tones with plenty of luxurious touches and range from superior and deluxe rooms to one and two bed suites.

Rooms start from £140 per night including breakfast.
