BRITISH SPENDING IN SPAIN UP 30% IN 2024
British holiday makers spent a total of 2,234 million euros in the first two months of 2024, an increase of 31.57% compared to the same months of 2023. In total, inbound tourists to Spain spent 13,296 million euros during the same period, an increase of 25.66% from 2023.
British holidaymakers are also staying longer in Spain. The average trip duration in January and February of 2024 was 8.2 days, a 7% increase from 2023.
Meanwhile, the average expenditure per British holidaymaker trip for January and February 2023 is 1,260 euros, marking a 13.03% increase compared to 2023. The daily average expenditure per British holidaymaker is 153 euros, a 5.67% increase from 2023.
When compared to other countries of residence, holiday makers from the United Kingdom were the highest total spending demographic in Spain (2,234 million euros), followed by holidaymakers from Germany at 1,573 million euros.
