The Spanish Tourist Office's Sustainable Media Awards 2024 are now closed for submission. Attendance for the awards is still open - register your interest here. 

The awards celebrate the UK media that best showcase sustainable travel in Spain encompassing social, cultural, economic and environmental sustainability.

Spain's Sustainable Media Awards recognise the works of UK Media in 2023 which highlight sustainable travel themes within Spain, including social, cultural, economic and environmental sustainability. The categories will recognise the importance of forming a connection with local people and cultures when visiting, whilst also minimising any harmful impact on communities and the environment. Travelling sustainably means exploring lesser visited areas, considering accessibility and inclusivity, visiting out of season and taking part in low-impact activities such as cycling and walking. 

2024 categories (UK MEDIA ONLY):

• Consumer National Newspaper Tourism Feature of the Year Award (print) 
• Consumer Magazine Tourism Feature of the Year Award (print) 
• Trade Tourism Feature of the Year (print/online) 
• Online Consumer Tourism Feature of the Year Award 
• Content from a Content Creator 
• Top published Spain photographs 

SPAIN'S SUSTAINABLE MEDIA AWARDS ARE NOW CLOSED 

How to enter:

To enter a submission for an award, please email spainawards@wearelotus.co.uk with the author name and award category in the subject title. For example, JOHN SMITH Consumer national Newspaper Tourism Feature of the Year Award (print). You may submit multiple entries and may submit the same entry to multiple categories as long as it is applicable. 

The deadline for entry is 04 March 2024

Criteria: 

• All submissions need to have been published/executed between 1 January 2023 and 31 December.
• UK Media Only
• You may nominate others. Third parties such as PR companies, tour operators and tourist boards are encouraged to nominate individuals.

Those shortlisted to win an Award will be invited to the Spain’s Sustainable Media Awards Ceremony, held on Wednesday 17 April 2024 at The Conduit, where the winners will be announced.
