Spain Talks Media Awards 2026

The Spain Talks Media Awards 2026 celebrated excellence in UK journalism, travel trade and content creation at the awards ceremony held on Tuesday 21 April 2026 at the Residence of the Spanish Ambassador in London, following the Spain Talks conference.

For this year's edition, the awards recognised outstanding coverage of Spain as a sustainable visitor destination across four categories:

• The Ambassador Award, honouring a UK‑based content creator whose work inspires positive change through digital storytelling.
• The Business Award, recognising the best sustainable travel trade feature on Spain.
• The Experience Award, spotlighting in‑depth slow travel coverage focused on a specific Spanish region, island or city.
• The Media Award, celebrating the Sustainable Travel Feature of Spain of the Year across consumer print and online media.

Entries were assessed by a judging panel of industry experts:

• Carol Rose, Head of Sustainability at ABTA  

• Thomas Power, Co-Founder and CEO of Pura Aventura 

• Joanna Reeve, General Manager UK & Ireland at Intrepid Travel

• Jessica Harvey Taylor, Head of Press at The Spanish Tourist Office in the UK  

Following the awards ceremony, the winners and runners‑up for each category of the Spain Talks Media Awards 2026 were officially announced.
