Spanish Tourist Office UK Welcomes José Manuel de Juan González as New Director and Isabel Alonso de Piñar as Deputy Director
This September, the Spanish Tourist Office in the UK welcomes its new Director, José Manuel de Juan González, to London, alongside new Deputy Director Isabel Alonso de Piñar, who take over from Manuel Butler and Pedro Medina respectively.
José Manuel de Juan joins the London office following a distinguished career with Turespaña. He has previously headed Turespaña’s overseas offices in New York (2018–2023), Toronto (2011–2015), Dublin, where he established the Ireland office in 2006, Miami (1999–2002) and Oslo (1995–1999).
Most recently, José Manuel de Juan held the position of Deputy Director-General for Economic and Administrative Management and Information Technologies at Turespaña’s headquarters in Madrid, where he oversaw the company´s finances and human resources.
Commenting on his new appointment, José Manuel de Juan said:

Deputy Director Isabel Alonso brings a wealth of marketing and social media experience to her new role in London, having previously held the position of Deputy Director for Overseas Marketing in Madrid, where she was central to the role out of the 2025 global campaign, Think you Know Spain? Think Again…
Isabel Alsonso commented:
“It’s fantastic to join the London team at Turespaña and to support José Manuel representing Spain in the UK market. This year’s WTM will be a great opportunity to meet with our many UK tour operator and travel agency partners.”
