Highest toboggan drop in Europe opens at PortAventura

Costa Caribe Aquatic Park

This year, PortAventura on Spain’s Costa Dorada is opening the completely renovated and extended Costa Caribe Aquatic Park, featuring the highest free drop toboggan in Europe and exciting water attractions for families.

The adventurous will enjoy the free drop toboggan, which falls from 31 metres (equal to that of a 12 storey building) at 6 metres per second. Alongside the toboggan, a multi-bump slide with a rolling trip and two quick slope changes will be introduced. At 100 metres long and nearly 20 metres high, the six lane toboggan will allow both children and adults to compete against one another. The slope’s changes and fun water jumps help visitors to project at full speed!

A children’s pool, a pirate ship full of Sesame Street characters and The Splash pad, a small play area with interactive water jets, will keep children occupied and an adult’s pool with water beds, invigorating water effects and a waterfall will give parents a relaxing break.

The whole park has a Caribbean theme, with 50 species of plants and palm trees sitting alongside hammocks, pergolas and restaurants offering delicious food.
