Quique Dacosta Restaurante crowned the “Best European Restaurant 2013” by Opinionated About Dining

The Quique Dacosta Restaurante in Denia, Valencia, is celebrating being named the “Best European Restaurant” for 2013 by the prestigious Opinionated About Dining survey.

Quique Dacosta Restaurante opened in 1981 under the name “El Poblet” in Denia, a small beachside town by the Mediterranean Sea in the region of Valencia. Quique Dacosta discovered it in September 1989 and ten years later, he was the proud new owner.

With 3 Michelin Stars, Quique Dacosta Restaurante holds many other prestigious titles, such as the National Gastronomy Award for Best Chef (2005 and 2009) and two times Best Chef of the Year from The Best of Gastronomy.

Opinionated About Dining is the only dining survey that factors experience into its rating system. The 2013 results are based on over 100,000 reviews which were contributed by over 3,800 people. The Best Restaurant list is based on the comments and opinions of bloggers and select customers and the list has gained prominence in recent years to become a go-to source of information on global cuisine. The survey was taken by extremely enthusiastic diners who devote a significant amount of their time and money to travelling the world in search of the very best meals on the planet.
