From 4-7 November, the Cúpula del Milenio (Millennium Dome) in Valladolid will host the annual National Pinchos and Tapas Competition and International Culinary School Competition.

Hundreds of people from all over the country will battle it out to create the most delicious tapas between 4-6 November and the judges will have a tough decision to make as they whittle it down to just 45 participants for the grand final. The judging panel is made up of seven culinary professionals and this year the president of the panel is renowned chef, José Rodrίguez Rey.

The International Culinary Schools Competition sees participation from culinary schools from all over the world and takes place on 7 November. Participating countries include the USA, Mexico, Canada, Sweden, Italy, France and many more who compete to be the best Culinary School in the world. The schools will be judged by Joan Roca from El Celler de Can Roca, recently crowned the world's best restaurant.

To celebrate these exciting events, visitors and locals alike can get a slice of the action as the city hosts a week-long tapas festival between 4-10 November. Guided gastronomy tours will be on offer taking in every type of tapa imaginable. 50 of the best restaurants and bars in the city will come together to offer the best tapas in the country at the very reasonable price of €1,80 each.

The competitions promise to be exciting and with the opportunity to taste some of the best tapas in the world, there's no better time to visit Valladolid.
