Spain Wins Best Youth Destination at BETA Awards

The British Educational Travel Association (BETA) announced the winners of the British Youth Travel Awards 2012 last week, announcing Spain as the winner of the Best International Youth Destination.

According to BETA, youth travel is still the fastest growing and one of the most dynamic travel sectors, representing knowledgeable, fun, eager, educated, focussed and ambitious travellers.

Nuria Guzman, Deputy Director of the Spanish Tourist Office in the UK said, “We are delighted to win this category. Spain has become one of the top study abroad destinations worldwide due not only to the climate and culture, but also because we know how to have fun….Is there any better place to learn a language which is spoken by more than 400 million people in 21 countries?"

Spain offers a number of successful language schools throughout the country with popular destinations including Madrid, Salamanca, Granada and Barcelona.
