TOURSPAIN BACKS THE INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH OF SPANISHYOUTOO.COM

A great view of the Sagrada Familia from Ayre Hotel Rosellón

The Spanish Tourist Office is supporting the international launch of SPanishYouTOO.com, a new and totally unique Barcelona-based online portal offering free support and assistance to foreign students wishing to study Spanish in Spain. The key objective of this joint campaign is to encourage people to learn Spanish and position Spain as the ideal destination to learn in by making it easier for people across the globe to plan and execute their trip.

To celebrate the launch of this initiative, TourSpain and SPanishYouTOO.com have launched a two-week social media competition on their respective Facebook pages offering the chance to win a 10-week Spanish language course at International House Barcelona. To enter, just visit the Spanish identity generator Facebook app and answer some questions. Within seconds, the app will reveal the entrant’s unique Spanish character and the user whose identity gets the maximum number of votes will win the scholarship and, of course, guaranteed support from SPanishYouTOO.com.

Following the success of AUssieYouTOO.com, SPanishYouTOO.com has been launched by a group of young Spaniards who are dedicated to encouraging and assisting budding linguists to visit Spain, find the right course and make their travel arrangements. Their virtual offices mean that they are always online and available to assist, be it via social media or Skype.

On arrival in Spain, each student will be assigned a mentor (COOLaborator) based in their destination who will offer them a completely unique service tailored to their needs to help them get the most out of their stay and have the best possible experience. Each student will be accompanied during their first few days in Spain and will also have immediate access to the SPanishYouTOO.com online community.

TourSpain and the different Spanish Tourist Offices across the globe are supporting this unique project via a global social media campaign, #IneedSPANISH, which will be rolled out across 30 different destinations.

Marta Blanco Quesada, managing director of TourSpain, commented “We are delighted to be supporting this new project initiated by a group of inspirational young Spanish entrepreneurs and we are confident that it will contribute to improving the experiences of the people who travel to Spain to learn Spanish, as well as strengthening our image as the ideal destination to learn Spanish.”

Marta Caparrós, founder of SPanishYouTOO.com, commented “We are very happy to have a prestigious organisation like TourSpain backing our project, which aims to promote education and support the progress of young people all over the world.”
